The Ball Committee (Balkå) works every year to create one of the union's most elegant events held at Uppsala Castle, the Science Students’ ball!
The Ball Committee is appointed after the summer and then works intensively during the autumn and spring with several different tasks. Within Balkå, the work between the members is generally divided into two phases; the one that is to be arranged before, and the one that is to be arranged for the Nature Vet Ball itself.
Examples of things that should be arranged before the prom include sponsorship, applying for permits, public relations work and dance trainings. For example, for the prom, entertainment should be booked, menu and seating discussed with the castle and running schedule determined to name a few tasks.
If you want to try your hand at working within a small committee with a clear focus, Balkå is a fantastic option that leads to one of the most elegant and memorable evenings of the year for all guests!
